In September 2011 at almost 97 years, pilot Mary Lou Colbert (Neale) passed away. The WASP whose background can be found on the P-38 National Association site, says a lot about this tough lady. On her death, a newspaper printed this story about how she met her husband of 65 years in the cockpit of a P-38 trainer.
